“Haji Sattar made me feel as though he was my uncle the very first time I met him,” recalled Afghan author Qais Akbar Omar. “He was warm, welcoming, and generous with his time. He treated all his friends like his family, but what I liked about him the most was that he was a wonderful storyteller, who was a master of the art. No matter how much work he had, he would take his time to tell a good story.”
In early 2001 He opened a warehouse in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt managed by his brother Wase Rasul. The very year He also set up similar operation at the Oriental Carpet Centre in London, run by his other brother Wahead, but closed the London warehouse in 2014. Haji Sattar consolidated his European operations in Hamburg, where he was joined by his son Wahab Rasul three years ago. As a frequent visitor to Europe, He had planned to be in Hamburg on June 2021 but He could not make it due to the deadly disease that took his life. 2/2
He would be always remembered and missed!
May His soul Rest in Peace!
